About Us

The Center was established as a non-profit organization by a consortium of four universities working to improve students’ success in algebra. Below are the members of the current Board of Directors for the Center for Algebraic Thinking. Please contact us with any questions or interest in involvement with the project.

What information do we collect? 
We collect information from you when you register on our site, respond to a survey or fill out a form. When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name or e-mail address. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. With our iOS apps, we currently do not collect any information. At a later date, we may decide to collect usage information and perhaps demographics, but we will not collect any personal information. If we decide to collect usage and demographic information through our iOS apps in the future, we will alter this privacy policy to reflect that change.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance 
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of GDPR because we do not collect any information from anyone through our apps. The only information we collect is when people voluntarily register for the website in order to gain access to the videos. In that case, we use their email address for login purposes only. Occasionally, when the Center creates a new resource, it is announced through our email database.
